Evenfan Nozzle
Evenfan nozzles are available in an 80° spray angle, which produces a narrow rectangular spray pattern. Rated at 3 bar pressure, these nozzles produce an even distribution across the full swath width.
Features
- Precision moulded in polyacetal, a highly stable polymeric material with outstanding wear characteristics
- High level of quality control throught the manufacturing process ensures consistent compliance with specification
- Colour coded (in accordance with ISO/DIS 10625) for quick indentification of flow rate
- Compatible with most standard nozzle caps
- BCPC (British Crop Protection Council) coded to assist with correct nozzle selection
Description
This nozzle is available in an 80° spray angle, which produces a narrow rectangular spray pattern. Rated at 3 bar pressure, these nozzles produce an even distribution across the full swath width.
Applications
This nozzle is generally used in the single mode with crop sprayers and planter mounted sprayers for inter-row and over-row banding application of treatments such as pre and post emergent herbicides. It is particularly suitable for single nozzle applications with knapsack sprayers where reduced dosing at the edge of the band can be avoided. Even fan nozzles are also used in vector control programmes for use with compression sprayers to apply residual insecticide to walls and flat surfaces in buildings for mosquito control.
Installation - Crop Sprayers: To ensure the required band width is achieved, the boom or planter/cultivator nozzle height must be carefully adjusted in relation to the target and for the nozzle spacing used on the boom.
Installation - Knapsack Sprayer :To ensure the desired swath width is achieved, the nozzle must be maintained at a constant height as indicated in the Evenfan application rates - Imperial - Metric - USA. A suitable chain or weighted cord attached to the lance behind the nozzle, and adjusted in length to just contact the target with the nozzle at the appropriate height, will help in maintaining a constant height when spraying. Ensure that any preset pressure regulator fitted to the knapsack sprayer or hand lance is set for the correct pressure operation before commencing to spray. Always read the operating instructions of the equipment manufacturer.
